Oops! I Missed my Blog Anniversary!

I knew I started blogging in October of 2008, so I went back to check this evening, and saw that it was the first. It was the bed we dug June of 2008 that led me to the ivillage Cottage Garden Forum, which led me to bloggers, who I mentioned in another post, which happened to be part 2 of the story of the new bed. I think I forgot to include FlowerLady, who I also met there. When I saw the freedom they had to post as many photos as they wanted, I decided to give it a try. I'm tickled that Nell and FlowerLady recently joined blotanical.

In my first post, I wondered if I was going to keep up with blogging. Little did I know how addictive it was going to be. In my second post, I learned how to post a photo.

Because it was the new bed that led me to the forum, which led me to blogging, I thought I'd dedicate this post to that bed and post more photos, some of which may have been on previous posts. A few of the dates I have may be a bit off, because I didn't include all the ones I exported, and the dates I wrote on my paper didn't quite match up with the photos.

I am excited to see the changes that will take place next year. This bed was originally planned with annuals in mind, but the number of perennials that jump into my cart has increased over time. I've mentioned this is no longer my new bed, so I now think of it as my bed of many colors. In my previous beds I had colors that I limited my selections to, but in this one, I decided to choose flowers I like, and pay less attention to color. I think since I didn't allow pink or red in the other beds, I have chosen a lot of flowers those colors.

I want to thank all of those who follow my blog. I don't know what percent of those listed as my followers still come by. I check your blogs from time to time, also. I have so many I try to keep up with, that I am not always physically able to do it.

I also want to thank those who leave such nice and helpful comments. I appreciate you even though I don't always get people answered individually. I do like to answer questions, and try to do it on your blogs, and sometimes on mine, too. I am thankful for the friends and acquaintances I have here. Happy blogging!

  2. Congrats, Sue. Your garden's progress is gorgeous. It is fun to look back. Since it all changes so gradually it's easy to forget what it looked like years or even months earlier. I'm glad the events led you to Blotanical. I feel like we're all family.

  13. Happy belated blogiversary! Isn't it great how blogging helps us document the changes in our gardens? Maybe you'd do it anyway, but I never took pictures of my garden until I started my blog.

  15. Happy Blogiversary!
It is wonderful to see the series of pictures, how your garden has changed over the past year. You tend to forget how much you have accomplished.
