Goings on while taking pics for GBBD (squirrels)

I bought this bird feeder at a garage sale.  If a squirrel gets on, its weight brings the leaves down, which covers the feeder holes.  I was going to research what kind of seed to put in it, but my husband, who is results oriented, went ahead and bought some premium songbird food and put it in.  I have the bug to put more feeders out.  We used to have a finch feeder.  I'll have to see if it's still around.  So far, we have only seen sparrows feeding on this one, and their friends the squirrels eat from below.  You can make up your own captions this time.  I don't think I quite got the events in order, though.  ;o)

  4. Omgosh, I was chuckling as I worked through each picture of Mr. Squirrel. We don't have many here in the burbs, but when i see one I love to watch their antics. They can be so entertaining. I wonder what your dog is thinking...the look on his/her face is funny :0).
Thanks for stopping by and visiting me. We are making small improvements a little at a time. Having a cookie cutter house can be challenging sometimes. I see you garden. I'm going to try bell peppers and tomatoes next spring/summer and see what happens. Normally my thumb is brown, but I've a daisy and a geranium I haven't managed to kill so I feel encouraged. lol! Oh, nice to meet you!

  5. Thanks for the comments. I have gone from throwing things at and yelling at the squirrels to staring at them, and taking pictures. I'm not sure which the squirrels would rather have me do. LOL

Thanks for visiting my blog, Sunita. I enjoyed yours, too. Wow, it's cool to get to talk to someone and see their garden from so far away!

My Garden Blogger's Bloom Day pictures ended up under this, because I started that earlier in the day, and had them saved as a draft before posting them a little bit ago.

  6. Hi Rechelle, your comment showed up at the same time as my last one. I'm glad to hear you want to do some gardening. I sure enjoy it! Peppers do very well here. They aren't bothered much by disease or insects. Oh, my dog loves to chase the squirrels. They know they are faster and can get places she can't, though. I think she is thinking she wishes she could climb up the side of the house, too!

  11. I would rather they eat the falling seed than dig up my bulbs! Pesky things, they drive my dogs crazy. :)
