Welcome to the Shortest Day of the Year!

My steps are lighter today, because I know the days will be getting longer, and spring will be the next season. My message to winter is, be cold and do your thing, then get out of the way when April comes.

I hope you are doing well and keeping warm, but not too warm to those who have warm weather year round.

  4. Yay! Longer days! I, too, am happy to be rounding the corner with the long, dark nights. Even if it's just a few extra minutes of sunshine per day, I'll take it. Love your attitude toward winter. Merry Christmas, Sue!

  15. That is a beautiful photo.

I sort of enjoy winter months....I need to rest up from the outside work and get prepared mentally for the gardening season.

This year it seems like it has never ended...still mulching...ordered and received seeds...reading new catalogs almost daily.

  19. Gorgeous sunrise! I agree with your sentiments! I like my seasons during the three months they belong and then on to the next one. Glad the days will be getting longer. We have had so many days of dreary, wet weather...I look forward to sunny times.
