SkyWatch Friday-Part 2, a close-up of the tree house

Since there was interest in what was in the tree, I found a close-up of the tree house. Now that I think of it, the neighbor kids borrowed tools from us, and asked for nails to build this a few years ago.  We couldn't see it from our yard, so I don't know how they got it up there.  It sure is up high!

If you look closely at the second photo in the previous SWF post, you'll see the treehouse is in it, too.

  1. Even though my son is going on 17 soon, he would still love to guild a tree house!

  2. Oh, the joys of childhood and the secrets of a tree house. What fun times there must be up there.

  3. Pretty impressive they got all that wood and tools up there to work on it. I'd be a wreck if my kids were trying that up in a tree that high.

  4. It really is high, but I am sure they had a good time up there.

  5. Hi Ya'll,

I remember asking the parents first if if was OK for us to give and loan them the things they asked for. I think they were in middle school at the time. They don't live there now. It's in my garden area, so, if we got a hare, we could try to get up to it.

  6. Sue~~ If I was a kid with access to this cool tree house, I don't think I'd ever leave. A kid's dream.

  7. Wow, that takes me back to when my brothers and neighbor boys built a tree platform in a stand of pine trees. Of course, being the tagalong little sister, I was allowed up only occasionally. Thanks for the memories.

  10. Is it a house or platform? In any case it looks impressively high in the photo.

  12. It is a platform, and it does look sturdy. I'm not sure how level and secure it is, though.
