SkyWatch Friday 4/10/09
The picture I put here to show our old tattered yellow lab flag has dissappeared. Safari keeps quitting, so I am in Firefox, and unhappy that I can't figure out how to stop the words from being underlined.
We got a windsock to replace the flag, so I took these pics a few days ago, when it was cloudy and windy.

the sky looks ominous, good photos
ReplyDeleteDon't you just want to pull your hair out sometimes? Computers, when they work well can be so much fun, but when something goes wrong... Grrr.
ReplyDeleteThe sky in these parts looks similar to your thick blanket of foreboding. Patience, patience--a trait I should be (but am not) good at by now.
Good shots of the skies. The clouds look stormy.
ReplyDeleteDon't ya just wanna take the computer out back and whop it a few times or hit it with a bat. Anyway that is how I feel sometime.
Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteGreat Skywatch Friday shots! The underline happens to me when text somehow crosses into the photo...you can see it when you are in edit not compose function. There may be a command in front of your text that you can remove, some kind of bracket. It might have happened when you loaded the photos and then moved them! Hope that helps but doesn't confuse! Gail Blogger doesn't like Safari so I always edit in Firefox!
Great shoots. Great captures for the windy and cloudy day.
ReplyDeleteMary ElizabethBlog.
Windy indeed! We've had two days of wind like that here. Although our spring has been mild as far as wind is concerned, just one day of it can get under my skin!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a windy day, awesome shots Sue, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend

Good shots. Hopefully you're looking at blue skies in the future.
ReplyDeleteoh it looks so very cold...and the sky looks like it is going to rain forever. great captures.
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful weekend.
That was quite a stomy day. Looks like a good day to stay inside and watch.
ReplyDeleteIt does look quite windy....cool photos.
ReplyDeleteDear Sue,
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my site and kind comments on my Skywatch photos.
I like that windsock you have. More than twenty years ago, I read a Japanese book, and I made a big orange fish for my daughter. We hung it up but it didn't fly like yours. So we just hung it up in her room. Thanks for good memories as she had been abroad for three years.
Cheers,
Ann
Brrrr - be sure to keep warm. We are actually having a little weather today with a few drizzles on the windshield this am. Wish it would just pour for days.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is crazy today.... cold but sunny and then some rain! Don't you love being a Midwesterner.
ReplyDeleteI am off to plan my sunday menu. Happy Easter to you dear Garden Friend.
Everyone should have a chance to fly a kite and watch a wind sock. Great memories with this photo!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments! I think I made it to all of your blogs, now. I forgot to mention that these were taken the day before it was supposed to snow. Well, it did snow, but it melted as soon as it landed.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Easter!
Nice windy day, nice pics too.
