Camera Critters from the Last Few Days

Young robin:

Adult robin:

I have seen a Monarch almost every day for the last month or so. I am thinking it's the same one or two. I have several varieties of milkweed, including a wild one that I didn't plant, but am letting grow.

I think this is a sulphur. I like the way it is color coordinated with the variegated grass.

A young praying mantis:

OK, this isn't a critter, but it belongs to some, and look how they used duct tape!

Is it your nest, male cardinal, who was looking at me while I was taking photos of the nest on my neighbor's bush.

  1. I love Monarchs and how lucky for you to see one everyday. I think you have a 'redneck' bird around your parts........that duct tape is too funny!

  6. The young robin sitting on the fire hydrant is cute and I'm thinking that maybe he's considering whether or not he should become a fireman. Silly, I know.

  10. Hi Sue,
Thanks for the comments you left on my blog last night. I hope your legs are better!
I am removing 'Rosy' off the playlist ;) I never even knew ! I actually thought nobody ever listened to my playlist on my blog! I love Jackson Browne, he's got some mellow music that helps me calm down my hyper side.
Thank you! THANK YOU! for pointing me in the right direction with Picasa. I had already had some fun playing around. I appreciate your help. I am always learning such great things from other bloggers like you!

  14. Thanks for all the comments. I think I've made it to your blogs by now. MsRobin, I think you may be talking about the colorful moth on last week's post. My son, Trevor, came on after Randy identified it for me, and agreed with him, but now, I don't remember what it was. LOL

  16. Sue: Fun post with a lot of great critters. My wife says I think duct tape can fix anything, this proves it. A critter that knows how to use it.

  17. I love to see all the critters in our gardens. I have been watching a mother robin feeding her rowdy youngsters. They are usually to be found in the tees outside the window where I have my PC so I can watch their antics while blogging.
