Blooming Friday

I may have posted some of these before, but even after looking to see what I've already put up, I couldn't remember for sure as I was choosing blooms to post. Some of these photos were taken in the rain a couple mornings ago. I may come back and label these later, but if you want to know what something is, you can ask me. I don't know the names of most of the daylilies, though.

Blooming Friday is hosted by Katarina, at Roses and Stuff. Go to her blog to see who else has posted blooms or to see how to put a link to your blooms.

  1. Hi Sue, beautiful summerflora to enjoy. I am a daylily fan; (LOL, because a daylily fan is also the piece to plant, the leaves cut back to a fan with the root attached, that is how they are sold here. I Mainly grow evergreen daylilies. Have a nice "blooming friday"!

  3. Hi Sue~~ I love the day lilies. They're all plump and luscious but the pink ones....ooh, la la! Especially the semi-double on the top, left. Love the honeybees on the Scabiosa.

  9. You are certainly in full bloom there in NE. One photo more lovely than the next. Everyone seems to be able to get a picture of a bee except me.

  10. Wonderful post Sue! Your garden looks so happy and exuberant. I love your daylilies. Your white with the purple eye may be Pandora's Box, if you didn't already have the ID. I especially love the one with the watercolor marks. I really like the peach and white pansy too. Is that Evening Stock above it?

  12. Adorable dayliles.... and friends =)
I like the climber that looks like a globe thistle (Echinops). I have never seen anything growing like that. What is it?

  13. Sue, you have a lot of plants blooming.

What is that vine climbing up the globe thistle? That will be neat when it blooms. My GT is still green, no hint of blue yet. Lots of nameless daylilies here too, getting photos for a later post.

  17. Hi Sue, I have a little book on annuals that describes Evening or Night-Scented Stock as Matthiola bicornis, but M. incana and M. maritima are popular as well. All are fragrant but Evening Stock is particularly fragrant at night. I don't know if the flowers are as pretty as your stock though. Yours is probably M. incana.
