Hi Sue, I immediately noticed everyone was focused on their cell phones or computer, and possibly looking at a photo on computer that you took? (It's pretty much what happens in most homes across America on a regular basis :-). How have we changed in our world? Hmm...technology has inundated us! For the good...and sometimes the not-so-good ;-/ BUT...it's GOOD that we've all gotten to meet each other through our blogging. It couldn't have happened without technology!! I wish for you and yours a blessed and wonderful 2009!! Jan
Thanks Jan, I agree with your sentiments. The group on the left was looking at pics of our son (with the long red hair) and his wife's house they are renovating. It's the house she grew up in. The girl in the middle, our niece, was texting. My husband was showing his brother his new iphone.
I keep thinking how people, including me, want to live "greener" yet we keep buying things that need batteries. I don't know how much electricity I use on the computer, but it would be hard for me to do without it.
It's hard to shop for our grandson, because almost everything is plastic, needs batteries, and is made in China. We got him a plastic slide made in the U.S. a wooden train thing that does not use batteries and was marketed as being green, and a few other things plastic and wood. Most of the things we bought were made in China.
I welcome comments and questions from anyone, including those who do it anonymously. Some people find my posts by doing searches, and I like hearing from them. I guess spammers won't even read this message, but I will delete spam as soon as I see it.

I planted Arkansas Bluestar in my garden last year and it was beautiful this year. I'm not sure which species it is though.
