This is my front tree, with snowflakes dancing around, early in the morning, 12/16, the day all of the following pics were taken.
I took my camera to work, and here is a pic of the front walk and parking lot, with the snow shovelers hard at it.
What a difference in the look of the view of the capitol, compared with last week!
Next is a view from Larry's truck on the way home. We both work at the same school, but we have different hours, so don't always ride together. This is a block from where we live. You can see the cemetery across the street on the right side of the pic with the lovely large evergreen trees. We also live 2 blocks from a TV station, and the broadcast tower shows in the photo. There is also a radio station a few blocks away, and its broadcast tower is also seen here.
Happy Skywatch, and click on the icon in my sidebar to get to the main page, list of the people who manage this awesome event, and those participating this week.
I like your night shot of the snow. I have been unsuccessful in getting a good one even though we have had 60 cm of snow in Nov-Dec this year. You have a very nice blog.
ReplyDeleteGreat sky watch photos! I love the shot on that snowflakes.
ReplyDeleteYou can check out my sky watch posts here and here. Happy weekends!
It's pretty cold, uh? For sure, you'll have a beautiful white Christmas there. Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteLove 'em all! Great post.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your SWF photos very much. I'm glad to see what it looks like up there in NE at present. My daughter and her husband have just bought a home in Fremont, NE, but will not occupy until after the 1st of the year. I think I'll put off my first visit until about July. Is the snow all gone by then? LOL
ReplyDeletei too like the first one, tho of course as a fellow nebraskan i'm a bit partial to the capital bldg. thanks for stopping by. it's nice to find another nebraskan!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful is all I can think of!

Snow seems to be a common theme anywhere in the northern US. Even Las Vegas today!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your lovely collection of photos with everyone in Sky Watch Friday. Some how the world looks a little more peaceful and quiet to me with a dusting of snow. Thanks for your kind comments on my post earlier.
ReplyDeleteSnow at Christmas time looks magic. The tree in front of your house looks beautiful any time of the year, it is a great asset. The snowflakes look like little stars dancing around the tree. A very beautiful SW. I wish you a very happy Christmas.
ReplyDeleteYes, we got a little snow in NJ, too. Your snowflake shot looks so pretty. Happy SWF. :)
ReplyDeleteThe snowflakes did it for me what a catch.
ReplyDeleteThe snowflakes did it for me what a catch.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wonderful comments, everyone. Either they came after I made comments on your blog, or else I clicked on your name and made comments on yours, so I won't address them individually here.
ReplyDeleteWe did get more snow, and school was canceled for today. I haven't listened to the news yet, but after looking outside, it must be due to the roads being slick, rather than the amount of snow we got.
Happy SWF!
Just looking at your photos have gotten my toes freezing! Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sky Watching!
Dear Sue,
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking us along with you! Nice to see where you live. You did have snow!
Be safe and warm.
Namaste,
Sherry
The tree photo is great! I enjoyed them all. I keep hoping for snow but we just keep getting rain with a little ice mixed in.
ReplyDeleteVery seasonal - just what I need on such an unseasonal day here.
ReplyDeleteYou have beautifully captured the falling snow against that lovely tree, The next shot too is great with the light on the snow.
ReplyDeleteSue, great snow shot! It’s not just the snowflakes that are dancing, your tree is too.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like we got a similar amount of snow here in coastal WA State. I like your first photo a lot. I like how the snow reflects like stars when the flash reflects off of them. I think its beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the first shot. It looks like stars decorating your barren tree and the second one looks as if the sky has descended on earth! Awesome pictures
ReplyDeleteSO much snow in your Sky!
ReplyDeleteThe picture you've taken by night is wonderful, we can see perfectly snowflakes.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas, Sue
Hello Sue,
ReplyDeleteAt first I´d like to thank you for so nice comment on my blog.
Secondly, I like your photos. They are wonderful. I envy you a bit so much snow as here there is none:-)
Thanks for all the comments. I enjoyed reading them. I love SkyWatch, even though I don't make it to all the posts. I have mine for Friday ready to go, unless I see something else and change my mind.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Sue
