I am so excited that it is March! It's nice to have more light in the days. We've had a few days in the 50s, but they have been followed by days with highs in the 20s. I have my first little area of lettuce, spinach, and radishes planted.
I started to clean out my work bag this evening, but once I took the seeds out that I ordered from a co-worker's Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds catalog, I decided to take their photos and do a quick post. I have some seeds sent by a couple blogging friends, and some that I saved from last year's plants that I forgot to take photos of, too. Soon, I will be able to start the peppers and tomatoes in the house. I am so ready for spring! It's fun seeing how things are growing in warmer places when I make it to those blogs.
I've had lots going on, and have not been able to do much blog reading. I would have been able to do more visiting, though, if I hadn't been messing around with my template the last couple of days. The new background shows the daffodils that are coming up in the bed on the south side of the house. I plan on changing it to the first bloom of the season when it dares to present itself.
I hope all is well with you. I know there have been some floods and other bad weather, and even fires in places where some of you live. You're in my prayers.

You already have some seeds in the ground? Wow! Every time we get warm enough to do some garden clean up and start something outside, it snows. Your new template looks nice.
ReplyDeleteLooks like some great seeds. I love the packaging!
ReplyDeleteOh Sue, great shot of the daffodils coming up. I've got a few coming up myself.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get my hands dirty!!!
It's fun gatherig up the seeds and thinking about planting them. I've started some indoors and am always surprised how fast they take off. I bought the same Beets this year after seeing them on A Voice in the Garden blog, they looked so good. I like your new background.
ReplyDeleteYour new background is super! Can't wait to see your daffodils in bloom!
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful seeds...so much promise held within each tiny seed. Wishing you bounteous crops once you get them all planted up :)
Good luck with the seeds... they are so small.., but with care, they will add colours to the garden.
ReplyDeleteI also have been working with seeds and the garden. The best attitude adjustment in the world
ReplyDeleteLove the background photo....someone has a lot of work ahead of her.
ReplyDeleteI have a journal I map out what and when i plant. I have started some peppers, I will do tomatoes in about 3 weeks.I have grown the Mexican Sunflowers , flax and the marigold, if it is a tall one.
ReplyDeleteSue,
ReplyDeleteThose beets look interesting for sure. Better get them started right away. Strawberry seeds, oh tomatoes I see.
Even the seed packages are pretty!
ReplyDeleteI think Baker Creek has a beautiful catalog. Some of the pictures are frameable!
ReplyDeleteI have my first two clumps of daffs in bloom!
We are waiting for a thunderstorm to arrive.
You did a good job on the new look. I always get so stressed with templates I know what you must have been going thru and how long it takes to get it the way you want it. Good idea on taking pics of the seeds too.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Thanks for my very first and only comment on that first post! Very sweet of you.
P.S. I like the font too!
ReplyDeleteSue...it is DEFINITELY nice to have the days getting longer! Can't wait to see all your little seedlings!
ReplyDeleteHow fun?! Nothing like getting out the seed packets and starting the growing process!
ReplyDeleteI love the new template - and the seeds are exciting! I have purchased seeds from Baker's Creek and was very happy. I have always had really good luck even with the seeds from the Dollar Store though! LOL* I think I bought about 60 packs this year but they were all 3 for a buck or 5 for a buck, and we'll see how much time I have for gardening with a new little one on the way...but I sure am going to try! :)
