I've been reading today about people taking pics from their cars. When I showed my husband the pics I took last night after taking our daughter to her car, he was surprised I would do such an unsafe thing. So, I am not recommending for anyone to do such a thing, but the reason I'm posting this now, is because someone named V y Yo, told me on my Skywatch post how to put larger pics on your blog. I wasn't sure if I understood it, but exported these pics to experiment with, and it looks like I figured it out. Thanks V y Yo!

I've done that before, but usually only when stopped at a light. :) I do try to pull over, it's a bit safer... love the blurry xmas lights!

ReplyDeleteIf I take pics from a vehicle, I am normally not the driver. I usually pull over or take pics at a stop light if I am driving. This may be the only time I've taken pics while driving. I have a fold out viewfinder that is big, and I don't have to hold the camera close to me, and can just give a quick glance. There was not much traffic that night, either. Still, I won't make a habit of it.
First commenter, I wish I could read what you wrote. I wonder if there is such a thing as a translator for comments.
I've always liked the effect of wavy lines of light in the dark. I didn't know it was possible to post larger photos like that on Blogger. Neat!

Thanks Amy, don't know why the photos are grainy, though. They are not like that when enlarged in my iphoto. I'm glad to hear your healing is progressing.

Hi Jan, I read your current post from work today. I just checked Robin's way, and it's not how I did it. I copied and pasted the instructions I used. Sorry for taking so long to answer your question, here it goes:
to make the pictures bigger, I went to the "Daily picture" site and they explain it all, just follow the steps (they are easy), then, before you post your pictures, you need to change the "px" to 640 and 480 or 480 and 640
