Our warm fall seems to have been sent running. The cold and snow over a wide area have been on the news the last few days. We missed the huge amounts of snow some folks got, but we did get some. Yesterday, my husband and I each had a different funeral to go to. The streets were not in bad shape, but snow was blowing up to 10 feet high and swirling all over. I don't remember what the highs were yesterday or today, but they did not get much above the single digits if they did. Well I guess it did today, because it's 10 F. right now.
I stood on the porch around noon yesterday and took some photos. It was so windy, the windsock was almost horizontal.
It was snowing at this time, but not as heavy as later.
What a difference a day makes! These photos were taken today around 4:00 p.m. I still stood on the porch to take the photos, because of the cold.
The sun was preparing to set.
The snapdragons are still green. It looks like the blooms are finished, though.
I don't know how long it will take for this bit of snow to melt, but it's sticking longer than the first snow we had.
I'm still hoping for more snow, but hope the temps warm up a bit. Wherever you are, I hope things are going well for you and you are keeping warm.
