Sue girl .. isn't the foliage as pretty as the flowers are ? I love the curly cues it throws out and then that beautiful flower : )
They are going to be fantastic! It seems like my Cosmos just start to pick up and then boom FREEZE!Rosey
Do cosmos always bloom soooo late in Nebraska ?What a pleasant surprise for September.Mine are mostly spent but then again I haven't been deadheading.
Hello Sue. The orange and yellow cosmos have bloomed non stop all summer while the pink and red ones disappointed me. They grew so tall but took so long to bloom that I pulled them up. They looked like giant weeds. I'm looking forward to seeing yours open up.
I love your new header photograph. Your garden looks wonderful!
Such a nice plant, the leaves and the buds. ~bangchik
Very promising! Cosmos are so wonderful and offer much needed colour at this time of year :)
And about time too! Cosmos looks like some weird alien plant when it's in bud.
Hi Sue~~ In my experience, Cosmos can be really unpredictable. I like how the foliage slithers up around the buds. It will enhance the opened flower, for sure.
Cosmos is one of my favorites. It takes care of itself. No pests, no problems. Reliable like 911. Plus beautiful.
Any minute it will burst into bloom! ! I found a chocolate cosmos this summer that smells like chocolate when in bloom! gail
