I forgot about Irene! (Rosemary)

I took some more pics today.  Here is where the pot of the Alba rosemary spent the summer, with sage, thyme, and some flat leaf parsley that bloomed, even though I just bought the plant this year.  I am glad the seeds I planted in the main herb area came up and grew well.

I don't remember how big the pine scented rosemary was when I planted it.  It's not as big as I was thinking it was.

I forgot about this Rosemary named Irene.  It says it grows in zone 5 on the tag, but I doubt it will survive in the tub.  Hopefully, we'll have room in the egress window for it, and that will keep it alive for the winter.  It's a nice looking plant.  The garlic chives next to it turned to mush from the freeze, but the regular chives are still showing some green.  I am usually able to harvest chives, sage, and sometimes, parsley on Thanksgiving.

  1. I'll bet they looked great growing together. I want to try that next year.

  2. Thanks, Marnie,
It was handy having the pot of rosemary in the tub with the other herbs, and I liked how it looked. Last year, I had a couple pots of rosemary that I stuck in the ground in my herb area. The nice thing about that, is that you don't have to water as often, and when it's time to bring it in, it's right there in the pot. I think I've done that with parsley, too, and will have to remember to do that next year.

  3. Hi Sue, thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hello. We are just now getting to the season to be able to plant flowers. I can't wait. I don't do a lot because of the water situation in AZ, but just enough to add some color.
I have found that as I walk this path with my Saviour, He become sweeter with each passing day, always there for me, and giving me joys each day, which sometimes happily....are dishes!!! Keep stopping by and I will try to make it the 30 days!!

  4. Hi Ceekay! Thanks for visiting my blog, and letting me know. Enjoy planting your flowers. We have had unseasonably warm temps the last week, and in a few days, are supposed to have unseasonably cold temps. I was hoping to have some flowers for Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day the 15th, but it looks doubtful. Oh, well, I have spring to look forward to.
